Backgrounding In OS 3.0?
Posted in Jailbroken Apps on 17. May, 2009
Wow… There’s some very strong rumors that OS 3.0 will enable backgrounding to select apps.
The talks are that the new iPhone OS 3.0 will have an improved dock system and will have two special slots. Those two special slots will allow you to drag an app onto it, such as WunderRadio and Palringo, and when you launch those apps they’ll be allowed to run in the background.
Wow… Could this be the end to Backgrounder as we know it? We’re already gettin’ rid of Clippy with OS 3.0, allowing us to free up some of our system speed, but if this is true… well ****, this would allow us to get rid of Backgrounder. Backgrounder’s great, I love it, but I’d drop it in a heart beat in favor of system speed.
This is just givin’ us another reason’ta droll over OS 3.0.
Peace, J
