MMS Is Now On iPhones

So MMS is finally out for iPhones on AT&T. You’ve gotta’ update through iTunes to get it. Ehh… big deal I say.

AT&T Will Finally Support MMS

AT&T is finally supporting MMS text messages for iPhones. It’s said that AT&T is gonna’ allow pictures and videos to be sent via text messages… something I personally couldn’t give a **** about, but everyone else out there uses MMS and this is a big deal. And it should be, AT&T simply didn’t allow MMS on iPhones from the start because they knew that would be extra data goin’ through their network. That’s wrong that they did that, they made it seem like iPhones “didn’t know how” to do MMS, when actually it was left off.

I say it’s about **** time… but tethering is the one I’m really hopin’ for (even though I’m on T-mobile). But they say it’ll cost extra to tether on iPhones. That sucks, but when you think about it… if you have a netbook or a laptop, that could be a really big selling point. I mean, most people who have netbooks and an iPhone, most of the **** they need to go on the go can ge done on their iPhone, so they don’t need a dedicated mobile $30-$40-whatever month payment just to go online for their netbook… but for those times when your out and do need to use your netbook for stuff, being able to tether the net from your iPhone to your (or a friend’s) netbook would be a really great mix. Especially if you used the netbook to charge your iPhone via a USB cable.

So, MMS on the iPhone… is it exciting news, or “whatever”…

Man, OS 3.0 Won’t Give 2G MMS

Man, this sorta’ pisses me off. According to these guys, 2G iPhones, like the sexy-*** Neocell, won’t get ******’ MMS. MMS, you know, picture text messages.

This doesn’t effect me much because I hate… hate… texting and refuse to do it or pay for it. But I care about my 2G brethren bein’ able to do MMS.

Did you check out some of that article?Well they talk about doin’ all this crazy hardware research ‘n’ all this crap contacting hardware chip companies and stuff, just to find out if iPhone 2G’s are able, hardware wise, to send out MMS messages.

Are these nerds dumb *****?? Of course 2G iPhones can, ‘freak, there are jailbroken apps (like SwirlyMMS) that can send MMS. Serious, I knew about SwirlyMMS before I even got an iPhone.

What a stupid waste of time these ‘freakers put people through. Thousands of people send MMS messages from their iPhones, and at least half are 2G iPhones. How is it not one person stopped to think about the people who have been using MMS on 2G all this time? ******’ dip ****. Of course 2G iPhones can do MMS, you didn’t discover ****.

But the news about OS 3.0, it’s not new news… but I was waiting to see if it changed. Guess it hasn’t.

Don’t worry though, you’ll be able to do MMS, just via a jailbroken app. Or who knows, the designers of our jailbroken OS may crack it so we can use the stock MMS program. That’d be nice because it’s got video MMS upload features I’ve heard.

Peace, J
