iPhone’s That Seem To Over Heat

So it appears that some iPhone 3G S users have reported heat issues. Like, we’re talkin’ extremely hot kinda’ heat. Some iPhone 3G users have had the same issues.

Well what’s funny is that, for the first time, I experience this issue last night. I was runnin’ WunderRadio in the background via Backgrounder while browsin’ the net… charging at the same time. I was connected to wifi. It’s important to note that I was playin’ the music from the speaker at full volume. And the back was getting warm… not hot, but warm. Not just that, but it also seemed like it wasn’t getting a charge.

Here’s the deal though, I had Bluetooth on at the time. I normally have Bluetooth off if I’m not rollin’ in the Lexus, but I decided to leave it on once at home. Once I turned Bluetooth off, although… no heat. Huh…

So that’s really interestin’ right there. Somethin’ to keep in mind. As far as the iPhone 3G S, if it does have a heat issue, if it’s a big enough deal, I’m sure they’ll fix it by the time I get mine later this year. If not, ****… I ain’t worryin’.

Peace, J

Hot ‘n’ Sexy iPhone

It’s important to have a sexy iPhone, like mine is… but you don’t wanna’ have a hot iPhone. I was out by the pool, writin’ the last post up to ya, and as I came inside, the NeoCell was hot. Hey, this is gonna’ happen when your out in the sun. In fact, there are times I’ll be out at the pool for a lot longer with a much hotter iPhone.

But I wanna’ warn you all… Apple has said that heat is bad for the battery. They say it reduces the battery life of iPhones. And as we all know, iPhones don’t have replaceable batteries. So keep in mind that heat = bad for iPhones.

Now, does that mean you shouldn’t take your iPhone out in the sun? ‘Freak no. Enjoy your iPhone. That’s what it’s meant for. Shoot, do you think I don’t take my iPhone out at the pool? I do… Will the sun (heat) reduce the battery life of the NeoCell. Yep. By how much? Not even enough to worry about.

The point is, be aware that heat is bad for iPhones and don’t leave your iPhone out in the sun if your not really usin’ it. If your tanning let’s say, try to cover your phone up. Us 2G users gotta’ be extra careful of this because the backs of our phones are metal (which I love). When tanning, cover your phone up with a towel or lay it under your body if you don’t got anything to put it over. Gotta’ water bottle near you? Use some of that moisture to lightly dab your iPhone.

If your driving, don’t, and I mean don’t leave your iPhone somewhere in your car. Ladies, I’m talkin’ to you. Not only do you run the risk of something happening to your iPhone during a quick stop, but having direct sun slight on your phone (magnified by the sun) is bad and it’s not needed when you can keep it in your pocket / purse. This is so, so bad for your phone because it’ll be exposed to heat time and time again, no matter how quick the trips are.
