So it appears that some iPhone 3G S users have reported heat issues. Like, we’re talkin’ extremely hot kinda’ heat. Some iPhone 3G users have had the same issues.
Well what’s funny is that, for the first time, I experience this issue last night. I was runnin’ WunderRadio in the background via Backgrounder while browsin’ the net… charging at the same time. I was connected to wifi. It’s important to note that I was playin’ the music from the speaker at full volume. And the back was getting warm… not hot, but warm. Not just that, but it also seemed like it wasn’t getting a charge.
Here’s the deal though, I had Bluetooth on at the time. I normally have Bluetooth off if I’m not rollin’ in the Lexus, but I decided to leave it on once at home. Once I turned Bluetooth off, although… no heat. Huh…
So that’s really interestin’ right there. Somethin’ to keep in mind. As far as the iPhone 3G S, if it does have a heat issue, if it’s a big enough deal, I’m sure they’ll fix it by the time I get mine later this year. If not, ****… I ain’t worryin’.

This is funny. I’m readin’ somethin’ about iPhones, and I came across this article…
“While the 3.0 software allows a limited level of background operation for add-on applications– its App Store stocks more than 50,000, a wealth of choices other smartphones can’t match — it doesn’t let you switch among multiple programs. If you want to listen to a Web-radio program while writing an e-mail, you’ll need to get a phone like a BlackBerry, T-Mobile’s G1 or the Palm Pre.”
Ain’t that funny? Now I’m not gonna’ say the person who wrote the article is wrong, it’s just funny when I see people sayin’ stuff like that… ‘cuz it makes me feel like I’ve got a “special addition” iPhone that can background, thanks to the jailbroken app Backgrounder.

Oh freak yeah! Backgrounder is out for OS 3.0! I’m listenin’ to Dogglounge in WunderRadio right now in the background while typing this post in WordPress. …Oh no, did WunderRadio just crash, the audio stopped… Oh, haha, it was just a break in the song. Gotta’ love Deep House music…
So yeah baby, Lance (creator of Backgrounder) got a special version of Backgrounder rollin’ for OS 3.0 baby… I’ve only been usin’ the new “3.0″ Backgrounder for like… 20 minutes, but the performance of having Backgrounder run in the background seems to have zero affect on the speed of OS 3.0. I won’t know how much of an improvement this will be, considering OS 3.0 runs much lighter and… we don’t have to run Clippy anymore. Right now I only have Backgrounder as the only jailbroken app that runs alongside the system (before I only had Backgrounder and Clippy). But so far, it seems to be a huge difference.
Apparently all special features of Backgrounder aren’t working right now, and they may not work. Lance has gotta’ see if they’ll work apparently. Now I loved the new design of Backgrounder, but yo… we all understand if your not able to get that back and working for 3.0. We all were beggin’ for Backgrounder for OS 3.0, and we got it… so your good Lance. If you figure it out, great… if not, it’s cool. Either way, you deserve some R&R for this one… Send this dude a thank you note.

Yo, I don’t know if I should be pissed… or sad. Checked up on Bigboss, and they say that there isn’t a version of Backgrounder for OS 3.0. Serious? Freak man…
Now this doesn’t mean they won’t come out with a version for 3.0… but not saying there “will be” a version coming out, they could have trouble getting it to work for 3.0.
So freak man… we lose our ability to have backgrounding with 3.0?? I ain’t sad, I ain’t pissed… I’m just… bummed. I almost would say… “Is it even worth upgrading to 3.0 if we can’t use backgrounder?”. Well I’m not gonna’ say that… ‘cuz there are so many things added with OS 3.0, and honestly, OS 3.0 is the standard now, so we can’t avoid upgrading because one of our most useful features doesn’t work. We need to upgrade to make sure there is pressure and desire for the creators to find a way to make it work.
And I’ll be looking forward to dumping Clippy for the built-in copy-and-paste, for the improved system speed of not running Clippy with the system. So upgrading is worth it, even if not with Backgrounder.
But not havin’ Backgrounder, ****… that’s gonna’ be like sayin’ good bye to a hot girlfriend for the summer… you know (hope) she’ll be back, but the wait is just killin’ ya…
