Ugg… ‘nother ******’ jailbroken app I’ve had to uninstall. **** too, I loved Inspell. Amazing app. Truly… amazing. But the little ‘freaker was slowin’ down the system… and started slowly makin’ typin’ unbearable. I mean, what was I to do?? I’d deal with people who had iPhones with OS 3.0. What am I to do with spelling on the Neocell but have it be sluggish? Brag to non-jailbroken OS 3.0 iPhone users:
“Well I’m customized, I actually got spellin’ on my iPhone.”
“For real? Oh my god. Girl, come see this, this boy’s got spelling on his iPhone… Show us.”
“‘Ight, check it out… wait… the Notepad app’s not, wait… gotta’ wait for the, um… keyboard will take just a sec… it’s… ‘freak, come on… do something… it’s really not that slow when, oh, ok, it’s ready.” *tap tap tap* “See? Spelling.”
“Wow, that’s awesome… but, um, why is everything so slow?”
Yeah, um… **** that. And here’s the worst part… besides Adblock, it’s the only jailbroken app I have running with my system. I’m not even using Backgrounder. That’s pure sluggishness, Inspell, all by itself. And it’s not Adblock doin’ it because didn’t install Adblock until after Inspell started making the system sluggish. And no, I didn’t have nothin’ funky added into Inspell, just the normal app and everything that came with it (just the English dictionary, no other languages).
So how bad was the sluggishness? Bad… You could feel it just swiping through springboard pages (springboard is the icon desktop thing). Once I uninstalled it and anything else that was also installed with it the speed came right back after a reboot. It absolutely was Inspell. That’s sad man… that’s real sad.
The Neocell’s speed is almost the exact same as non-jailbroken OS 3.0 iPhones (you really can’t tell the difference), so ****’s runnin’ top notch now, but… I miss Inspell and Backgrounder.

Well Adblock’s safe to buy for OS 3.0 now. It took the developers weeks to update their product for OS 3.0, and worst, they didn’t even offer up any explanation and people were complaining that they weren’t even responding to emails. So I told people not to buy from them until they got their **** straightened out.
They have now, and they’ve updated Adblock so it’s safe to buy it again if you use OS 3.0. And if you bought it before OS 3.0, like I did, your license will work for the 3.0 version.
Ahh… enjoy ad-less browsin’ again.
Peace, J
Just a little heads up to anyone who may have read previous posts about how I use Adblock. We’re on OS 3.0 and Adblock doesn’t work. But rather than the developer putting out a statement on the app, saying “Only works for…”, the developer is keeping the app up, not saying anything about it not working for the current OS.
The developer hopefully (and should) create a version for OS 3.0, considering all the people who bought the license for it. From comments, the lazy ****** isn’t even returning emails. Until the developer creates an updated version, don’t send this person one **** dime.

So, I decided to buy Adblock. For those of you that don’t know, Adblock is, well, just like Adblock Plus for Firefox (FYI, I use Google Chrome with Privoxy), but Adblock is for iPhone’s Safari. It blocks ads in Safari. And, it’s a jaolbroken only app… yet another one of our perks.
Well I broke down and decided to buy it, via Paypal, for $3.23. Some people that know me would say this is the first and only app I’ve ever paid for, and the only reason I paid for it was because I couldn’t find it online to steal… but that of course would be a no-no.
So do I think it’s worth it? Oh heck yeah. Blocking ads is one of the most guilty-pleasures of browsing online. Going to a news article web site where they think they’re slick **** by polluting the screen garbage advertising… and seein’ none of it. Oh yeah… so nice. And let’s not forget how ads make loading pages much slower too.
Now that I’ve got it, browsing’s so nice. I’ve been usin’ ad blocking software before most people, and since then haven’t gone without ad blocking software. Since getting the NeoCell, I’ve been doin’ most of my browsing from the NeoCell so seein’ all this digital garbage all over the screen’s been a big deal to me. Gettin’ Adblock made browsing the net feel more like browsing from my desktop or laptop.
One thing I don’t like is the price though… it really should be free. Kinda’ ****** up that we’re paying someone money to not display ads. Ads are the way web sites make money off you, and I do think it’s messed up another comany, no better than them, is making money by offering ad blocking software.
I hope one of two things happen. Either someone creates a free ad blocking program, or that someone cracks this program and spreads it online so that people won’t have to throw their money away like I have.
But… until that happens, if your going to spend the money, is Adblock worth it? Oh heck ya.
Peace, J
