OS 3.1.3 Is Released Today

OS 3.1.3 is released today by Apple. It fixes very, very minor security bugs. If your jailbroken, you know the deal. Never, ever, update until your given the green light from the jailbroken community. But if your not jailbroken, I say wait off updating for a few days. Here’s why I’m so concerned…

“A memory corruption issue exists in the handling of a certain USB control message,” said Apple’s advisory. “A person with physical access to the device could use this to bypass the passcode and access the user’s data.”

This could fix the hole that Blackra1n uses to jailbreak iPhones. So just wait off for a few days until we get word. If you aren’t jailbroken, but there could be a 1% chance you may be interested in jailbreaking, don’t update. There’s a chance this could affect your phone’s ability to jailbreak.

Just be cool.

    I'll be monitoring Geohot's tweets ( http://twitter.com/Geohot ) to see if he gives word (Geohot's the creator of Blackra1n). He's not very active on Twitter (probably because he's got a life, haha) and his last post was over two weeks ago.

    But when word comes out about a Blackra1n jailbreak status, hit me up if I haven't updated already.
