iPhone As Your Only Computer?

August31

So get this… it came time for me to move to a new place with my girl… We just finished moving everything today. So big deal, what’s this gotta’ do with iPhones?6′ Well check it, both of our laptops died recently… and we’ve got two desktops, one, the Neocomp, is a very powerful customized (one of a kind) desktop (see pic below) and the other is our media center desktop (mainly for watching Hulu on our TV). We got two desktops in the apartment right now, but no internet. Our cable provider won’t be out to switch our TV and Internet on until three days from now.

The point… we’ve got no access to the Internet (no cable Internet, no open wifi’s near) except for… the Neocell! Because the Neocell has it’s own (slow) Internet, the Neocell’s become our only computer in the house (when it comes to getting online) for the next few days.

So what’s this gonna’ be like? It’s not a big deal bein’ without the Internet for a few days, but it’s a really interesting concept… having such a powerful handheld device, such as an iPhone, be your only “computer” so-to-speak. What’s it gonna’ be like having to rely strictly on T-mobile’s Edge for all our net needs? I think this is gonna’ give me a taste of what’ll be like in the future, when a very select few people only have an always connected mobile device as their only “computer” in the house.

Peace, J
