Google Calendar Loves iPhones
I love how Google Calendar enables syncing through Microsoft Exchange. So what’s that got to do with the Neocell? Well the calendar of iPhones supports Exchange. This means that, if you use Google Calendars (like you should be), your iPhone will be able to bring in (push) all your appointments and dates straight to your phone instantly. And, better yet, any appointments you make on your iPhone will be pushed to Google Calendars.
I love this feature because, before, I did all my appointments on my Pocket PC’s calendar. But then I started using Google Calendars because I needed to share some dates and appointments with people. This was sorta’ a headache because I had to input both calendars. I started just inputting crap into Google Calendar only. If I had an important appointment, then I’d type that into my Pocket PC. It was a pain.
Well about a week before I got my iPhone, Google came out with the sync for Goodle Calendar. I could have used this with my (then defective) Pocket PC, but screw that… The calendar of iPhones are so easy and functional.
Like, I never understood why there
was a “week” view on Pocket PCs, computer programs or other calendar systems. I’m so glad they did away with that. ******’ retarded.
One of the cool things, too, is that you can sync not just your calander, but others. I have my own calendar and three other’s linked into my calendar. Two I don’t have showing, and the third I have in my calendar because it’s the US Holiday calendar.
Havin’ this sync between my iPhone and “the cloud” is great because I’ll put something in the Neocell and I’ll say “Remember to call this person to let them know you’ve got a dentist appointment tomorrow.” and it’s like *bam*, I’ll get a phone call or email from that person, bein’ like “So tomorrow you’re busy?”. ‘Freakin’ awesome.
Peace, J
