AT&T Will Finally Support MMS

September5

AT&T is finally supporting MMS text messages for iPhones. It’s said that AT&T is gonna’ allow pictures and videos to be sent via text messages… something I personally couldn’t give a **** about, but everyone else out there uses MMS and this is a big deal. And it should be, AT&T simply didn’t allow MMS on iPhones from the start because they knew that would be extra data goin’ through their network. That’s wrong that they did that, they made it seem like iPhones “didn’t know how” to do MMS, when actually it was left off.

I say it’s about **** time… but tethering is the one I’m really hopin’ for (even though I’m on T-mobile). But they say it’ll cost extra to tether on iPhones. That sucks, but when you think about it… if you have a netbook or a laptop, that could be a really big selling point. I mean, most people who have netbooks and an iPhone, most of the **** they need to go on the go can ge done on their iPhone, so they don’t need a dedicated mobile $30-$40-whatever month payment just to go online for their netbook… but for those times when your out and do need to use your netbook for stuff, being able to tether the net from your iPhone to your (or a friend’s) netbook would be a really great mix. Especially if you used the netbook to charge your iPhone via a USB cable.

So, MMS on the iPhone… is it exciting news, or “whatever”…

Peace, J
