MMS Is Now On iPhones

So MMS is finally out for iPhones on AT&T. You’ve gotta’ update through iTunes to get it. Ehh… big deal I say.

Stanza Now On My Home Screen

Well Stanza, the world’s best ebook reader program (and it’s free by the way), is now on my home screen. Having an icon on my home screen means you gotta’ be one of the absolute best apps out there… free, paid, stock, it don’t matter… the only way you can get on the Neocell’s home screen is if you’ve proven yourself worthy.

Well two things have happened… one, I’ve been using Stamza multiple times a day because I’m reading a bad ass ebook (included a screen shot of it) so Stanza’s usefulness had gone up, and because I don’t have cable TV and watch all my TV from Hulu, the free What’s On app has lost most of it’s usefulness. So Stanza replaced What’s On.

I suspect it’ll take a long time before another icon gets changed from my home screen.

Email Showing Wrong Mail Count

Hmm, this is odd… For the first time since I’ve had the Neocell, the mail app (which I use with Gmail) is showing a wrong count of new mail on the icon, but shows the right number in the app itself. Check out the screen shots below to see what I’m talkin’ about…

It shows 23 new mail, even though I only have 12. Gmail says I only have 12 unread messages online, so I definately don’t have 23. I’ve gone through and loaded “more messages” in the Mail app a **** load’a times, thinking that’ll fix it… nope. I’ve also checked out my “Sent”, “Spam” and other folders but everything’s fine.

It’s a weird issue, and I’m sure I’m not the first to have it either. I don’t want to remove all my mail settings and add them back in again, I’d like to find a fix to this without doin’ that. So I’m gonna’ spend some time online and see what I can find.

As it turns out, my iPhone’s account settings were kinda’ funny. I would enter my info for Google’s Exchange services, and the calandar and contacts would work, but email wouldn’t. So I’d have to enter a seperate account under the email account settings. I’ve been doin’ this since I first got my iPhone.

Buy lately, it started working for both services. It started about five days ago. Check out the screen shot to see what I mean.

I’m not sure why the account settings are now working, it that’s fine. I’ll just now stick with just one account.

Pandora’s Been Rockin’ It

You know I’ve been usin’ Pandora a lot lately. And although it can take a long time to start up or can bug out if you need to change songs ‘n’ crap via Edge, it’s been workin’ out nicely. I’ve been listenin’ to it a crap load when I’m out drivin’ or if I take a walk somewhere.

I’ve been impressed with it’s constant great quality and reliability over Edge. I’ll leave it docked in the Lexus, playing through the sound system and I sometimes forget I’m playing muisc over the Internet… music over the Internet anywhere you go… it’s a crazy concept.

Peace, J
