I was loungin’ out on my bed, watchin’ some good ‘ol TV programmin’, messin’ with the NeoCell and I thought to myself, “You know, the least I could do is thank that dude who created Clippy”.

So, that’s what I did. I went into Cydia, went into the manage, looked up Clippy, clicked the contact, whiched opened my email and thanked the dude propa’.

I suggest you do the same if you’ve been using’ Clippy.

So in the tech news is an article that talks about AT&T doin’ so good, mainly because of the iPhone. It mentions how AT&T’s fees are 60% higher than other carriers, mainly because the iPhone is the most desirable phone, PDA, and currently the most desirable gaming device.

So you know, I’ve been thinkin’ to myself, “Man, I wish I was on AT&T and not T-mobile.”. But then I read somethin’ like this, and I’m reminded why I’m on T-mobile in the first place. I mean, 60% higher fees? **** that…

T-mobile, I may talk a lotta’ **** about’cha, but I still love ya.

So I was watchin’ a YouTube demo clip of them explaining the iPhone 3.0 OS and I was amazed by the speed of the operating system. No, OS 3.0 isn’t any faster than our current OS 2.2 Or whatever. It’s morely I’m amazed at the speed of a none-customized OS.

I mean feel me, I know my jailbroken OS isn’t slow, I know… but look at what I have… I have some custom things workin’ in my OS that the standard jailbroken OS don’t got. Unlike most of my jailbroken brethren, I keep my **** lean ‘n’ mean. The only things I got runnin’ in with my jailbroken OS would be Clippy, SBSettings and… um… Adblock, Backgrounder and MakeItMine. Those are really the only system tweaks I’ve got if I remember right. But the only ones that actually run in the background with the system are Backgrounder, Clippy and SBSettings. Those are the only ones that would slow my system down some.

But when I watch the iPhone 3.0 demo, I can’t help but notice the speed difference. Like with Notes. ****, it takes me so long to edit a note or to create a new one. And here this dude is, accessin’ it like it ain’t nothin’. And the speed of applications opening and closing, ‘freak. I mean we are talkin’ les than a second difference, but still… that makes a big difference.

Well I’ve come to the conclusion that the our speed for jailbroken OS 3.0 will be faster. If you remember me talkin’ about Clippy, we won’t need Clippy at all because OS 3.0 will have copy and paste. So without Clippy running, hopefully the speed of our OS’s will be faster. By how much? Maybe not much.

But I’m thinkin’… what would the speed be like if I uninstalled SBSettings and went back to regular BossMods or whatever it was called. BossMods sucks, but it’s an application you open and not something that runs in the background. I wonder if that’ll give enough of a speed boost, and will it be worth it? Because I can’t get rid of it beloved Clippy or Backgrounder, SBSettings is the only one I can afford to let go.

I’ll see about tryin’ it and gettin’ back to ya all.

Update: So in Cydia, I noticed I still had a “Skrew” or something file installed that was used for the VWallpaper program. I remember waiting to uninstall it because it had some custom video in there. I decided to remove it and that seemed to have been causin’ some of my speed issues.

I’m gonna’ keep SBSettings installed and see if my speed issues go way.

So I’ve been needin’ a way to crop images taken from the NeoCell. You know, when I need to include a screen shot of something that includes information that can’t be posted. I wanted to find a way to crop out edges of photos, but that wouldn’t help when I had to cover something in the middle of a photo.

Well I hadn’t gotten around to finding a cropping program yet, when I happened to be cruisin’ the app store for who knows what and I came across Hide My Secret!. It actually covers an area of a photo with pixelation. Not only that, but it can crop too.

I searched the app store and couldn’t find anything that did pixelation or anything like it. So, I got Hide My Secret! and it works great. I read reviews about it and the people who said **** like “it dont worrk, dont buy!!” must be using’ their iPhone with their toes or somethin’ because this baby works perfectly well and it’s real accurate.

Now I can post up screen shots without having to worry about sensitive information bein’ published.
