Here’s something I found out… I had Safari not load pages for me while on wifi. Other applications would load, but not Safari. It happened once before, and I fixed it with a restart… but restarting takes a long *** time.
It happened again a few days later, but this time I decided to try killing Safari. It worked. Took less than 10 seconds to get Safari working.
Here’s how it works, when you want to kill a program, press and hold down the home button for about 6 seconds. Do this while Safari is open. Keep in mind any pages you had open will be closed.

Ahh, chillin’ by the pool in sunny Florida, listenin’ to some Little Ax… nice.
But I wanna’ talk to those out there that got T-mobile with their iPhone and use either the 50MB or 100MB Internet plans instead of the unlimited Internet plan. Careful callin’ into them… they know what phone your SIM card is currently in.
It’s like this, there ain’t no problem with you usin’ your iPhone on T-mobile. And there is nothing wrong with you using any data plan from T-mobile, it’s not a violation of their terms of service (TOS). But, their call center people in India are actually ordered to change your account into the full, unlimited Internet or just disconnect the Internet from your plan. And, they don’t know any better either. They’re taught that it’s the “wrong Internet for your iPhone sir” and will change crap, thinking they’re helping.
If this happens, you can get your **** back, but not after it’s already disconnected, some downtime from havin’ the Internet, and maybe even some errors on your next bill (three Internet charges or whatever).
None of this has happened to me, but they tried with me so I realize it will happen if you let it. What you have to do is lead them into believing that you still have your old phone (the last phone that was registered on your T-mobile account, the phone that shows on T-mobile’s site). When you call for whatever reason, and say in broken English “Mr. Bob, I see your using an iPhone…” or whatever, all you gotta’ say is that this is your girl’s / man’s phone and your using your SIM card in their iPhone because your phone’s battery is drained or whatever. That’s it. They don’t have any data showing anything more than what phone you currently have your SIM in. And keep in mind they still know what phone your using even if you call from a land line.
It’s real simple, that’s all you gotta’ say. But if you still have your old phone, and need to call T-mobile, you could always pop out your SIM into your old phone, call, and not have to explain ****. That works nicely too.
So keep this in mind when calling into T-mobile if your using one of their two limited Internet plans.

Oh I love the Dev-Team, the developers who make it possible to jailbreaking iPhones. They announced that the iPhone 3.0 OS is absolutely jailbreakable. I was like “The iPhone 3.0 OS is great, but I’m not gonna’ be too excited until I know I’ll be able to get a jailbroken version.”
Well, the Dev-team says it’s a done deal, so I’m excited now. PC World thinks the Dev-team may have a jailbroken version of 3.0 OS the day after the official version is released this summer. Yeah baby.

So I’ve been usin’ SBSettings to turn my T-mobile Edge Internet on and off enough that I’ve got some tips for ya.
First, unless you’ve got unlimited Internet with T-mobile, my advice is to turn Edge off (and leave it off) when your not usin’ it. This will save not only your data from push service like email, but also save power. And if ya do have unlimited Internet, turn it off when your either in wifi, or when your doing something for a long time, like watchin’ video, and don’t need data (to save battery juice).
When you turn Edge on or off, keep in mind it will disconnect Bluetooth for some reason. But don’t worry, it’s only for a second. Now that ain’t a thang’ for me, but if some of you have Bluetooth devices that will lock up if your phone disconnects from them or somethin’, then keep that in mind.
Turning Edge on or off will make your signal drop. This is your phone signal resetting itself I guess. In addition, it takes Edge about 10 to 30 seconds before the Internet will be ready. You’ll know when Edge is ready when your signal bar goes back up to where it was.
The last thing to keep in mind is that there’s a 1/10 chance that Edge will cause your iPhone to feeze when turning on or off. Make sure to save what your doing before turning Edge on or off.
